ThomsonAdsett designs award winning civic and cultural facilities, from regional community centres to metropolitan urban design. Each community is distinctive, so we listen to our clients in order to understand what matters to their community. We then work to reconcile these issues with the constraints of site, budget and brief.
Art galleries, libraries, workshops and retail spaces often need to co-habitate, and have different needs for light, heating or cooling, and space. We are adept at providing solutions that satisfy these different needs, in one flexible, cost-effective package. Our designs incorporate “green” elements that provide ongoing economies for both client and operator, including passive solar design principles and cross ventilation.
