The client's brief was to create a retail centre that both functioned
successfully and was of a form that presented as identifiable and
striking architecture.
The roof is supported by a free-spaning rafter from the rear wall to
blade column allowing the shopfront to be a column-free zone. The
architecturally striking form with a juxtaposition of horizontality
and verticality was creating public and tenant interest even before
completion and has now become a local icon with Stage 2 planned for
the near future.
Large open spaces with generous ceilings creates an open, relaxed
shopping and dining atmosphere for the local suburb.
